• 1 p.m: Body leaves Entebbe Airport escorted by police outriders to the former head of state's home in Kololo in preparation for national ceremonies, paying of respects and overnight vigil

• Morning: Body leaves Kololo for Uganda House, the UPC headquarters
• 5 p.m: Body leaves Uganda House for Parliament where a guard of honour will be staged
• Overnight vigil

Thursday, October 20, 2005

• 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m: Signing of condolence book, paying of last respects
• 2:30 p.m - 4:30 p.m: Special session of Parliament
• 4:30 p.m: Body leaves for Kololo residence

• 7 a.m: Public assembles at Kololo Independence Grounds
• 7:30 p.m: Body arrives
• 8 a.m. - 11 a.m: State funeral service at Kololo Independence Grounds
• 11 a.m: Body leaves for Jinja
• 12 noon: Body arrives at Busoga Square in Jinja
• 12:30 - 1:30 p.m: Public paying of respects to the late former president
• 1:30 p.m: Body leaves for Tororo Victoria Grounds
• 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m: Public paying of respects in Tororo
• 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m: Body leaves for Mbale
• 7:30 p.m: Body arrives in Mbale at St. Andrews Cathedral, public paying of respects, night vigil and prayers

• 8 a.m: Body leaves Mbale
• 9: a.m: Body arrives in Kumi
• 9:30 a.m: Public paying of last respects to the late former president
• 10 a.m: Body leaves for Soroti
• 10:30a.m: Body arrives in Soroti
• 10:30 a.m. - 12 noon: Public paying of respects to the late former president at Independence Grounds
• 12 noon: Body leaves Soroti
• 3 p.m: Body arrives in Lira town and stays overnight at the residence of the late former president.

Sunday, October 23, 2005

• 9 a.m. - 12 noon: Church service in Lira at deceased's residence
• 1 p.m: Body leaves for Apac Districtn 3 p.m. - 5 p.m: Body arrives in Apac at the Boma Grounds, public viewing
• 5 p.m: Body leaves Boma Grounds for vigil and paying of respects at the home of Adoko Nekyon

Monday, October 24, 2005

• 6 a.m: Body leaves Apac for Akokoron 7 a.m: Body arrives at Akokoro. Family ceremonies, paying of last respects, etc.
• 12 noon: Burial of the late former president at Akokoro
